ST ARNAUD
Our project is more than just a retirement home; it's a heartfelt nod to the historical ties this family has with the site. A simple, elegant house design has been crafted to provide a comfortable haven for the retiring couple, while paying homage to the past.
The house features clean and crisp lines, with scoria red cladding that evokes memories of old farming sheds. The site presented its challenges, with a fault line running through a portion of the section, which influenced the design to make the most of the usable space.
The clients had specific views in mind, and one to Parachute Rocks was particularly significant. Our design takes full advantage of these picturesque vistas.
Notable features of the design include a custom garage for a classic car enthusiast, an outdoor screened porch for entertaining, and a bridge connecting the parking area to the main dwelling.
Clad in durable vertical ribbed metal and fiber cement concrete panels, this dwelling is built to withstand the elements, standing firm against whatever nature throws its way. It's a testament to the enduring spirit of the family and their connection to this special place.
